About me
Rosako Wagner
The name comes from both of my parents and hints at the Japanese side of my heritage. (It’s pronounced like it looks: “roh-SAH-koh”)
I grew up in a quiet neighborhood in Palatine, Illinois in a small brown house on the corner. I remember buying my first Speedball calligraphy set from the local Hobby Lobby as an elementary school kid. I would spend my afternoons practicing the letters and would go to the library to check out all sorts of calligraphy books mostly to admire the beautiful writing they contained.
Eventually I moved on from calligraphy to pursue an education in engineering, but after graduating and working a few years at a software company, I rediscovered my love for art and calligraphy and am happy that I now have the opportunity to do what I love full time.
